The Scotriders motorcycle training is carefully guided by husband and wife Alan and Heather Kelly, who have more than 40 years’ bike riding experience.
Alan is a Cardington DSA-Qualified Instructor who was first trained as a motorcycle instructor by Star Rider in 1989 and worked with them and consequently Scot Rider until they ceased training in 1995.
During this time he trained hundreds of motorcyclists across Tayside to complete their CBT and pass their full motorcycle test.
Heather joined Scot Rider in 1990 and soon became a valued member of the team, also training many riders in Dundee and the surrounding areas to complete CBTs and pass their full bike tests.
Scotriders … we’re here to help you with motorcycle training in Dundee.
I would like to take this opportunity to give my experience of Scotriders. I used Scotriders back in 1993 for my CBT and Pre test Lessons.I had been riding motorbikes for years before I went for my CBT (off-road) and had also been a car driver for several years. My CBT was great, from the warm friendly welcome from Heather and Alan to the basic instruction and tuition. They recognised that I had the basics, but needed to sharpen up on procedure etc. The on road assessment was also enjoyable ( course it was, I was out on a motorbike ) professional and constructive. About a month after my CBT I sat and passed my Motorcycle test without any problems at all. I put that down to the tuition and expertise not just in training, ( that's the easy part ) but the personality of both Heather and Alan. They both have a way of making you feel welcome and at ease and seem to be able to deflect any nervousness with light hearted banter. When you finish your CBT/test with Scotriders I'm sure that you will think of Heather and Alan as more than just your instructors. The proof of this pudding is that now in Autumn 2010 they are still going strong and still getting great reviews.
